Unique Selling Proposition (USP), Definition & Meaning.

A term that is frequently used in the business world, it is often used by startups as well as established companies.
Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is simply put, the one factor (or “proposition”) that makes your company better than the competition. It is how you are “selling” your company or idea to the listener or client.
It is about presenting the specific benefit, that makes your company stand out, or even “Unique”.
USP plays to the company strengths, and is based on what makes the product uniquely valuable. Hence explaining to the listener why for example customers will chose you rather than competition, or why competition can not replicate your offer or product.

USPs should be more than a slogan, it should be:
– Assertive but defensible.
– Focused on what your customers value.
