In the end, when it’s over, all that matters is what you’ve done -Alexander the Great

Alexander is one of my least favourite historical figures, a war hungry blood thirsty leader that has nothing but war on his mind. Or at least, that’s my opinion about him, and to each his opinion.

One interesting statement by Alexander the Macedonian is this one about setting a legacy. Something to be remembered for, for generations to come, and indeed he did, and he was.

In the end, when it’s over, all that matters is what you’ve done.

Alexander the Great

As humans, we often feel that our lives are pretty insignificant. To remedy this feeling, some people defend just causes, other join wars.

Of course there’s always the path to just enjoying life, and these days more and more people are just accepting their insignificance and enjoying what they can in their life.

For entrepreneurs, this pressure of having to do something, having to achieve something is much stronger than for the non-entrepreneurs. This in a way explain why successful entrepreneurs get involved in ambitious projects, like putting a man on mars, or eradicating malaria.
