Even-though this quote is being falsely attributed to Mark twain, I will roll with it, because i’m interested in the quote here, rather than the persona!
There is a more extended version of it :
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”– Unknown, but attributed to Mark Twain
This quote has a very important message, that is pretty effective, for many entrepreneurs the starting point is a moment of courage, when they decided to take the jump … and thus “The secret of getting ahead is getting started“, describes exactly this moment. Also this quote can have a different meaning, promoting entrepreneurship, getting ahead in life, or having a better life needs taking risk and starting a project/ company, as compared to being employed all your life and paying bills.
