When it is a question of money, everybody has the same religion – Voltaire

Another one of Voltaire’s quotes that i really like “When it is a question of money, everybody is of the same religion.“, i changed it slightly to When it is a question of money, everybody has the same religion. The original quote is in french:

Quand il s’agit d’argent, tout le monde est de la même religion.

This quote is pretty similar in meaning to another quote:
It’s amazing the moment you show cash, everyone knows your language – Aravind Adiga

There is nothing much to say, other than what i said in the previous quote. It is however funny how financial interests make friends of enemies.
This quote is not 100% true in all cases, as in some cases when the hatred and the animosity is deeply rooted, the quote will most likely not apply.

However, we can generalize it easily, once there is money involved, people are ready to turn a blind eye to differences and hatred.
