The quote is inspired from Mike Tyson’s profession as a professional boxer, yet it is applicable to everyone. Most people have hopes , dreams and plans. But often these plans get derailed for one reason or another.

Most of these plans get derailed due to an urgency to earn money. Often events beyond our control force us to change our plans. Life is full of such events. Even the most disciplined people, often have to change their plans due to external causes that practically force them to look for short term solutions.

A big percentage of mothers left education to take care of their new born kids. A lot of men stopped following their dreams to be able to provide for their families.

But to stay relevant to the quote, punches in life are frequent, they can take the form of the death of a relative, health issues, divorce, loans and so on. And often, the solution is to focus short term, pay the bills. Forget the plans.
